Please note: The grant request and application may only be completed by an individual that is employed. Please review the eligibility guidelines below before beginning your application.
Overview
Organizations seeking to apply for a grant from Daily Giving can expect to encounter up to three application stages:
- Eligibility Quiz: This initial stage helps us determine if your organization meets our basic criteria for funding. The quiz is designed to quickly assess eligibility and save time for both applicants and our review team.
- Letter of Interest Form: If your organization completes the Eligibility Quiz, you will be invited to submit a Letter of Interest (LOI). The LOI provides a brief overview of your organization, its mission, the specific need for which you seek funding, and how it aligns with Daily Giving’s mission. LOIs are accepted year-round and reviewed on a rolling basis. Due to the overwhelming volume of grant requests that we receive, Daily Giving staff are unable to field questions or consult on LOI submissions.
- Formal Application: Selected organizations will be asked to complete a comprehensive application detailing their programs, financial health, leadership, and the impact of the requested grant. This stage requires more detailed information and supporting documentation.
All application materials must be submitted through Daily Giving’s Grant Portal, which provides detailed instructions and further information about the application process.
Please note that Daily Giving receives more applications than we can fund each year. Consequently, some grant requests that align with our funding priorities may not be selected.
Application Review and Approval Process
If your application progresses, you will be asked to provide financial documentation including but not limited to:
- Your most recent Form 990
- Most recent audited financial statements
- Compensation from your three top employees
Our Grants Administrator will review all grant applications and may contact you for additional information or clarification of information submitted in the application. As part of the application and review process, Daily Giving may request a site visit or phone interview with the applicant.
Once a grant application is submitted, the application is reviewed by Daily Giving’s Grant Committee, which determines whether an application warrants further consideration by our Rabbinical Council and Board of Directors.
Ongoing Reporting Requirements
After an organization has been awarded a grant from Daily Giving, we will continue to monitor and maintain contacts with all grant recipients. Grantees will be required to submit annual progress reports as well as work with Daily Giving to coordinate site visits, as required under the terms of the Grant Agreement Letter.
The grant request and application may only be completed by an individual that is employed/authorized by the applicant organization to apply for a grant from Daily Giving.
